VIDEO: Gerda Steiner Designs April Release Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY

Happy weekend all and welcome to the Gerda Steiner Designs April Release Blog Hop!!  I am SO excited to be a part of this talented group showcasing the adorable, OUT OF THIS WORLD release from Gerda Steiner Designs!

As soon as I saw these stamp sets I wanted to make a card inspired by the movie The Martian!  I used the little astronaut from the Blast Off stamps set and put him on a deserted planet all by his lonesome with the little Earth from the Alien Invasion stamp set in the distance.  This was my first time creating a galaxy background and I gotta tell ya, this technique is loads of fun!  And what really makes this scene special is the amazing texture on the planet that I got by using Ranger Texture Paste colored with Pumice Stone Distress Ink to create the ground.  Super fun!

So don't forget to check out the video and to hop along and see all of the fabulous inspiration from all of the designers:

2. Jessica Gerstner http://www.jesscrafts.com/

3. Julia Altermann http://just-one-more-card.com/

7. Francine Vuillème http://www.1001cartes.ch/
8. Tara Sell http://curlecues.blogspot.com/ <---- YOU ARE HERE!!!
9. Simon Hurley http://www.inklipse.com/

Leave all the designers some love and be entered to win one of THREE gift certificates to buy your own Gerda Steiner Designs goodies!  Each comment left before midnight on Sunday, April 17 will be entered to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you love all the inspiration on the blog hop!  See you again soon!  Bye!
