MOS: One-Layer Card Using Masking

Happy Thursday, all!  Today I have a project featuring Mint Owl Studios and two stamp sets from their fabulous April release!  If you haven't already, check out this fabulous company - follow the blog, watch the YouTube, heart the Instagram, Like the Facebook, and buy the stamps!  I'm telling ya, it's good stuff!

For this project I used the sweet little girl image from Class Act and by wiping off the ink on her face, bangs, and dress I was able to make it look as though she is facing away from us.  I used a bit of masking to then stamp the GIANT (by comparison) waffle bowl of ice cream to make it look as though the little girl is hugging the scrumptious sundae!  By altering the image this way and combining the two stamp sets I was really able to stretch these sets to create something totally different!

The rest of the card is nice and simple - since I stamped onto Bristol Smooth White Cardstock with VersaFine ink I was able to use my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color in the image.  I then die cut it using a Wonky Stitched rectangle die from Avery Elle and popped up on on the front of the card using some fun foam.  I finished off the inside with a birthday sentiment from the Ice Scream, You Scream stamp set and this card is all done!

Don't forget to check out the Mint Owl Studios blog for more info and follow Mint Owl Studios on all the social media!  I'm going to be posting a couple of videos a month on the MOS YouTube channel that are exclusive to their channel so if you don't want to miss out on any crafty goodness, be sure to subscribe!  All the design team gals are uber talented, I promise you won't be disappointed!  Thanks so much for joining me and I'll catch you next time!  Bye!
