VIDEO: Lawnscaping Challenge #125: Color Splash

Hi there!  Welcome to another fun entry for the Lawnscaping Challenge!!  The current challenge is Color Splash - create a black and white project with a splash of color!  I always love the Lawnscaping Challenges but this one really spoke to me and I wanted to make sure I got an entry in!

To start, I created a background on some Bristol Smooth White paper using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers directly on the Chevron Backdrop stamp from Lawn Fawn.  This is a really easy way to add color to your stamps and create a watercolor background that you have more control over.  I spritzed the stamp with a light mist of water before stamping it just to get an even more imperfect watercolor look.  It's fun to play around with the amount of water and different effects you can get.

I colored the Nessie image from the Lovable Legends stamp set using my Zigs on the same Bristol Smooth White paper.  I'm really starting to enjoy using this paper with these markers.  The blend is seamless and really easy to achieve.  My sentiment is embossed in white on a strip of black Simon Says Stamp cardstock and I used my Signo Uniball white gel pen to add a fun border.

Before assembling my card on the black card base I used my Zigs mixed with some water to add splatter over the background.  I really think this adds to the grungy effect and give the card some texture!   Stardust Gelly Roll pens and Pretty Pink Posh sequins add just the perfect amount of sparkle to this project!

Don't forget to check out the Lawnscaping Challenge #125 and thanks so much for stopping by!!  I'll be back soon with some fun techniques using Bo Bunny Glitter Paste!  Have a great night!  Bye!
