Hi there! Man, it has been awhile! I had a really fun week - a dear friend came in from out of town after being away for five years, we celebrated my kiddo's birthday at a live reptile farm (check out my Instagram for some pretty cool pics of me playing Crocodile Dundee), and we had a fun BBQ to wrap things up yesterday! So needless to say, I've had a hard time sneaking away for some creative mojo but today was nice and quiet and I took the opportunity to get a couple of videos edited.
I had an absolute blast creating these cards for the May challenge over on the Create A Smile blog! This Lovely Critters stamp set (link below) is just too cute and way fun to color.
Zig Markers: 067, 061, 026, 083, 081, 080, 031 Background: Wilted Violet Distress Ink |
I used my Zig Clean Color markers for the critters and a ton of Distress Inks on the scenes and backgrounds.
Zig Markers: 072, 068, 026, 026, 064 Background: Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink |
Each critter got a different dry embossed backdrop, which was my take on the inspiration sketch for the challenge.
Zig Markers: 021, 003, 202, 222 Background: Work Lipstick Distress Ink |
It's been a blast to mass produce cards lately and I was able to make all five of these bad boys come together pretty quickly.
Zig Markers: 020, 029, 052, 050, 026, 091 Background: Barn Door and Aged Mahogany Distress Ink |
I hope you all had a great Memorial Day Weekend! I will see you again soon for some more crafty fun! Bye!

Thanks for sharing this! Those critters are so cute and I really enjoy watching you work as well as your commentary. You are very personable! Enjoyed the info you shared about your daughter, too. I have one who knows lots of facts about her interests, too and she does the same thing. :) Finally, thanks for sharing about the clipboard. I was wondering and was going to ask you about that. I love that idea. Have a great day. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE watching your videos. These cards are so cute!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute cards Tara. Loved the video also! Your daughter is very clever! I did the same thing with my craft mat after seeing it here and it is way more convenient, I even covered the back with a non stick grip mat, purchased at the dollar store, cut to size. Now I can place it where I want it and turn when needed with no slipping around. Thanks for sharing this!
