Good evening, crafty friends! Today I have Day 11 of my Handmade Holiday series for 2015. Only one more to go! Today's project is a really fun way to give someone a gift card and let the cute design on the gift card be the background for your card. There are so many places that have made their gift cards adorable these days and I really wanted to use that in my project.
This is actually a really simple way to present a gift card and just involves a lot of die cutting to prepare your pieces. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles dies, large and small, to create the front panel for my card, the frame on the front, the gift card pocket on the inside, and the transparency pieces that I created the shaker pocket with using my Fuse tool by running an Avery Elle stamp pocket through my Big Shot with the Stitched Rectangle die.
Once all the pieces are cut it's really just a matter of gluing it all together. I used Scor tape to make sure it was extra strong adhesive. Once it was all put together (see the video below for a full assembly tutorial) I added some cute critters from some Lawn Fawn stamp sets and these cards were all set! I love that you still have the full inside of the card to write a message on and the cute gift card becomes the background for the critters!
This project would work for any gift card giving occasion! I think a Starbucks card with some cute coffee images would be darling! For a full list of supplies, keep on scrolling! I am entering these gift card holders in the last Lawnscaping Challenge of 2015! The theme is Merry Christmas so go check it out!
Thanks so much for watching and join me again on Wednesday for the final day of the Handmade Holiday 2015 video series. Bye!
